It’s on fire but it’s hard to see – 2024-6-30

Every time we passed this place, the line outside screamed, ‘You need to eat here!’ So we made it a mission to visit at least once—and ended up going three times; flipping fantastic experiences (don’t miss the pancake pun there)!

On our first visit, we were greeted by a short line (less than 10 minutes). Uncaffeinated and bleary-eyed, we begged for coffee, and they blessed us with two fresh cups. Hallelujah!

The menu looked so incredible, we felt like kids in a candy store. For our first trip, we went with a sweet and a savory dish to cover all bases. We also ordered poffertjes (Dutch mini pancakes with powdered sugar and butter) as a ‘small’ appetizer. These Moses-sized pancakes were divine. Seriously, the best mini pancakes I’ve ever had! The texture and consistency were out of this world, unlike the pancakes we make at home. For the sweet item, we chose the peach pancake, which arrived literally on fire! Talk about a grand entrance.

On our second and third visits, we couldn’t resist the Seaport Breakfast. It’s like an American breakfast that went on a European vacation and came back with flair. So good, it’s hard to put into words.

The service was incredibly happy, friendly, and helpful. The food is delicious and worth every penny. Moses himself gives The Dutch Pancake House a resounding two staffs-up. Highly recommend!
