4 Rivers Smokehouse

4Rivers produces some delicious BBQ! I’m removing one star for an unfortunate 24hr bout of food poisoning. Monday, the week of thanksgiving I skipped breakfast in anticipation of getting an early BBQ lunch. I stopped and devoured the BBQ Tacos and a couple of sides then set off for Melbourne, FL. Working as a Financial Advisor, I was on my way to a clients house to review their Retirement Plan. About 5 minutes after I arrived I noticed a rumble in my stomach. I should have heeded that warning. About 25min into the appt I was lightly sweating. I was still confident I could fight it off and power through. Like Leonidas and the 300, I would stand! By 40 minutes, most of my men were dead and I was visibly sweating and wondering about my pending fate. Luckily I was with compassionate people. The wife noticed my extreme discomfort and asked if I was okay. By this point, I wasn’t sure the answer. Would I have the fortitude to make it to the bathroom? I informed her my stomach was upset and she encouraged me to use the 1/2 bath, conveniently located on the other side of the wall we were sitting. With my guard down and pants still clean, I humbly complied. After 15min I emerged a bit more stable. Unfortunately, the sequence would repeat itself through the appointment. I eventually finished up, exhausted both physically and mentally. Leonidas would live to see another day! He did things he never thought he would be forced to do, but he lived. He was eventually forced to stop at a SpringHill Suites to continue the battle alone. If 4 Rivers offers to send Merry Maids over to their house to clean up, I would gladly change my review to 5 stars.
