Churchill St. Restaurant

Locally owned and locally loved—Churchill St. hits all the right bells. The food’s a solid 4.5 (the chicken sandwich was cluckin’ good), the vibe’s a 4 the evening I went, but for community and heart, it’s a big ol’ 5. Staff are friendly, the location is great, and the non-alcoholic beer selection deserves a toast.

Heads up: you order up front and the table service is more of a support act than the headliner.

Also, the bathroom sign is a blend of boy and girl symbols. I paused. I questioned. I entered. Turns out I literally could not have chosen wrong. Finally, a test I couldn’t fail.
