The Olde Mecklenburg Brewery & Biergarten

First-time visit, and I lucked out—it was Oktoberfest (better yet, it was Mecktoberfest!). Someone in our group who’s actually been to Oktoberfest in Germany said this place is the real deal—no need for a 9-hour flight anymore. They’ve got all you need: beer, food, and a legit Oompah band that transports you right to Bavaria.

In the back they set up a hidden gem—Hammerschlagen. We played like 72 rounds—nailed it every time! Definitely the kind of game that brings people together.

I ordered the Chicken Avocado sandwich, which was just okay, but the real stars were the giant pretzel, the boot-shaped 1-liter beer, and the apple strudel. All winners.

Such a fun time, I’ll definitely be back. Moses also gives Olde Mecklenburg two thumbs up (or maybe two steins).
