Blue Hound is tucked away on the second floor, accessible from the hotel elevators or the outside stairs/walkway between the hotel and EōS Gym next door. Conveniently, you can walk past the gym on your way to bacon wrapped dates and briefly feel like exercise was considered.
The ambiance is fantastic. Concrete and steel mixed with warm woods somehow feels industrial and welcoming at the same time. Like a steel-mill got married and started watching HGTV.
Service was top notch from the hostess to our server to the bartender. Nobody missed a beat.
And the food. Don’t tell Moses, but we ordered the bacon wrapped dates. Oh my goodness. Sweet, salty, smoky perfection. The savory and sweet did a dance that would have gotten them kicked out of at least three books of the Old Testament. Biblical scholars, settle down. The Old Testament doesn’t condemn dancing. You’re thinking of Baptists.
Breakfast was equally good. The bagel sandwich was warm and soft without requiring the jaw strength of a pit bull, and the chilled açaí bowl with scratch made granola was fantastic.
Moses recommends. He still doesn’t know about the bacon. Nobody tell him.
