1 / 5If you judged this hotel by some of its Google reviews, you’d expect shag carpet, grumpy staff, and a continental breakfast from 1986 (or lack thereof). But surprise: it’s actually great!
We stayed over a weekend in July 2025. The hot tub was broken (as foretold by recent reviews), and there was no free breakfast or lobby coffee. And yet: it was peaceful, clean, comfortable and home to one of the lively hotel bars I’ve seen in years.
Check-in and check-out were frictionless with the Bonvoy app & mobile key. I never talked to a single human, which felt efficient, not antisocial and is either dystopian or delightful depending on your mood. I vote delightful.
For check-out, there was even a classic key drop. I almost tossed my mobile key in for good measure, just to feel nostalgic.
Moving on to the bathroom closet. Yes, the bathroom closet. Instead of cramming your wrinkly clothes into a dark wardrobe, you get an open closet right next to the shower. Add steam, subtract wrinkles. It’s a travel miracle worthy of Exodus 42:12 (not a real verse, but should be).
The room was clean and genuinely roomy (still proud of that pun).
We also swam for a bit in the indoor-outdoor pool—there’s a little divider you can glide under like you’re escaping Egypt in chlorinated form.
Would I stay again? Absolutely. It’s a reliable, restful home base in Fort Collins. If the hot tub ever gets fixed, I might even call it semi-sacred ground.
