Right in the heart of the city, Viktualienmarkt Biergarten is about as central as it gets—surrounded by the bustling market and a steady stream of tourists snapping photos of pretzels. They rotate one of the 7 official Munich beers; we had Hofbräu (HB) on tap during our visit.
Honestly? Not my favorite spot for a drink. Feels a bit too polished and tourist-heavy. But if you’re into people-watching, this is prime real estate. Sip your beer, watch the world go by, and enjoy the show—just don’t expect deep local vibes or the best pour in town. Good for a quick pint and a look around.
